David W. Yancey is President of Crown Capital Financial Corp. He directs real estate equity and debt acquisitions and property management.
Mr. Yancey was born in rural Missouri and lived on the family farm. He later moved to California where he graduated from high school and then earned his undergraduate and law degrees at Stanford University.
At Stanford Mr. Yancey received an Eagle Scout scholarship and was on the varsity water polo team and the rugby, boxing and debate teams. In law school, he was a member of the law review and clerked for the California Supreme Court.
Between undergrad and law school he was Assistant Director of Stanford Undergraduate Admissions.
Following law school, Mr. Yancey was an attorney for the San Francisco law firm of Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison, specializing in banking, real estate, foreclosure, partnership and tax law. He is a graduate of, and taught for, the Mortgage Bankers Association of America School of Mortgage Banking. He is a published author on topics of real estate and finance.
Mr. Yancey is a licensed attorney, real estate broker and former California State Probate Referee and Appraiser.
Founder/President of a non-profit public charity that provides affordable housing and fosters amateur sports competition; Stanford undergraduate and law school alumni class chairman; President Rotary Club Endowment; National Defense Executive Reservist for U.S. Department of Homeland Security; and rugby player.
